MP backs biodiesel tax break project

Liberal Democrat MP Andrew George is backing a project to keep tax breaks for business who produce biodiesel.
Producers converting cooking oil into gain from a 20p differential however that is due to end next April.
The St Ives MP, who leads the Lib Dem Environment Team, has been fulfilling with the UK sustainable biodiesel alliance.
Mr George said "a variety of small companies in Cornwall currently generate income from used cooking oil".
He included: "In order to have the ability to get this kind of industry going it does require simply a bit of lift which is available in the form of tax foregone."
Biodiesel is a mix of conventional diesel, rapeseed and veggie oils.
